Historically known as the land of poets and thinkers, Germany has a rich history and is one of the most influential countries in Europe. Probably better known for it's modern cities such as Düsseldorf and Frankfurt, this central European country has a much more diverse landscape.

The mountainous evergreen Black Forest is a must for nature lovers, and did you know that Germany has islands? Yep, take your pick if beautiful white sand beaches with bright blue seas on Sylt, Rügen or Langeoog. Then there's all the fairytale castles such as Neuschwanstein and Heidelberg.

For something more energetic Berlin's nightlife and Munich's legendary Oktoberfest are essential.  Of course the world famous national beers are a must try. As are the quite literally thousands of different breads, pastries, cheese and sausages on offer.
