China can be a polarising country to visit with many people either loving it or hating it. We're definitely the former and had a blast throwing ourselves into learning about the hugely different culture from which we are used to. It’s difficult to grasp the sheer scale of China, where there are small cities you’ve never heard of with populations of 7 million people.
There is so much to do here it’s impossible to get bored, from the Great Wall of China which needs no introduction, to precarious mountain hikes in stunning surroundings. And of course there’s the food. Because unless you've been to China, you haven't had the best of Chinese food. Get your taste buds ready for that Sichuan pepper!
