A cultural superpower, Italy is one of the most visited countries in the entire world. Long Mediterranean coastline, snowcapped mountains, huge crystal clear lakes and small volcanic islands, it really is a stunner of a place. 

Then there's the cities, dripping in historical art and architectural achievements. Did you know that this boot shaped country lays claim to more UNESCO World Heritage Sites than anywhere else? Take your pick from Florence's renaissance , Rome's ancient ruins or Venice labyrinth of canals and pretty bridges.

Home to the only active volcano on mainland Europe, Mount Vesuvius, Italy in fact has another two on it's islands of Stromboli and Sicily. Interestingly situated within this southern European country are also two sovereign states, San Marino and the Vatican.  There's so much to see, but also so much to eat. Pizza, pasta, here we come!
